My coaches are picking favorites?

I play for a 12U tournament team, and I usually play in the infield (3rd, 2nd, or short). However, at our tournament yesterday, I played ALL outfield for three games in a row. I'm not a bad outfielder, but my coaches know that I'm best in the infield and it's what I love to do.

Also, I'm batting 6th in the batting order out of an 11 girl team. I'm pretty sure I have the highest batting average on the whole team because I've only struck out once this whole season and when I hit it usually goes over the outfielder's heads.

I noticed that the girls who are getting my old positions are either coaches' daughters or girls whos parents are close friends with the head coach. And the girls batting early in the order are just the same! Even my parents have noticed it, but I'm afraid of starting a fight or something.

All the girls on my team are very nice, but I don't think that just because they have close connections with the coach meant that they should get to play the positions or bat where they WANT, but rather where they're BEST.

What should I do about this situation?

Unfortunately, there seems to be some amount of this thing on every team. I too coach my daughter along with the manager whose daughter is on the team. As a player growing up, I hated the kid whose dad was always at practice, and he always seemed to be the coaches favorite and getting off easy. I think that's why I always tell my daughter that she needs to work harder than everyone else because I don't want others to think I'm playing favorites. Later on as a coach, I was reading something. Why shouldn't the coaches or managers daughters get a little more playing time even if their talent isn't quite up to snuff. They are usually the first ones there and the last ones to leave, help with the gear, wether they want to or not. But after reading this and you find that it doesn't explain at least a little playing time for some of the others, maybe you should bring it up to your parents and talk to the coaches. Maybe finding a more competitive team is what you need as more emphasis is put on winning and playing the best players. Hope this helps.
