Fundraisers

by Maryann
(Ventura, CA)

My team is trying to get creative and come up with new fundraisers that are more profitable and fun. We've done the carwashes, candy sales, can shakes, pancake breakfasts, etc.

We need something different. Any new and exciting ideas out there that'll will load up our bank account? Thanks gang.

Raffle NEW
by: Anonymous

Sell $10 tickets to win $500. If each girl sells 20 tickets (which is easy), you will make $1900 given a 12 girl roster. We sold so many tickets, we to add a $250 and $100 prize to get the odds back in line and still made $3800. Also, we considered making the prize an iPad, but decided that most people who really want one already have it. I think it'd work great to do an iPad/other hot new gadget raffle if the timing were right.

Golf Tournaments

we started hosting a couple of Golf tournaments as fundraisers and have had a lot of success. I required each parent to contribute in hole sponsors and give aways.

Bingo
by: Sonya D.

Every year my daughters travel team conducts a Longaberger bingo or Vera Bradley bingo. All the parents and girls help and we usually raise around $4K with just four to five hours of work the day of the bingo. Now there is organizing, selling tickets (everyone must help), and donation of food items. So the organizer naturally has more than just four hours involved, but It's a great way to make a large amount of money in a relatively short period of time. A couple of bingos gets all of your fundraising done for the year!

Any Scrapbookers in your group?
by: Anonymous

Host a scrapbook crop! Cost is very little to you if you can get your school/church to donate space and tables for your use. Supply munchies and beverages (or even charge minimal for them!) We charged $10 for the table space and filled our school cafeteria. Maybe charge more and make more?!
