no way!
by: travel ball pitcher

There is no reason for disrespect to coaches who are giving their time to help young girls learn to play softball.

disrespectful players
by: Anonymous

Have a talk with them to see whats the problem. They three choices 1)they will be fined for their behavior meaning making sure all equipment is put up and one sit out of a game 2)parent conference 3)release from program because i feel a disrespectful player is going to take away my attention off of players who are there to learn the game .

My softball coach makes the whole team run. It worked. No body talks back to him anymore.

Make them do extra work
by: Anonymous

If a player is being disrespectful, make them do extra running drills or other tiring (but helpful) things. That's what my coach does.

Dont Tolerate it
by: Cheyennes_Mom

You are setting the example by allowing it if you dont do anything and the next thing you know you have a team full of unruly girls. You have to bench her or tell her parents she will be kicked off the team. The longer you tolerate it the less authority you have over your team. If you have a manager, might be a good idea to have the team manager speak to her and the parents. Good luck

Be consistant
by: Coach Frisbee

Disrespect is a major issue.

If it happens at a game, deal with it immediately by benching her, be sure to tell her exactly why she is sitting.

If it happens at practice, make her run or whatever you do for punishment, again be sure to tell her exactly why you are doing it.

If it keeps happening, you might consider banning her from a practice or two and she gets benched at the next game.

If none of this works, she should be removed from the team after speaking with her parents.

Good luck!

You bench them. If you have enough players to play without them - do so. It should only take a couple of innings - if that

wat is the problem
by: Anonymous

seriously wat is the deal with some players that just are totally out-of-line and argue with the coach when they don't get their way or think they don't need to do the work. Or they simply think that they are better than the other people. i mean if i was the coach i would kick that person off the team or make them do more work. so to any coaches that are listening don't take the crap from these kids.
