Are you wanting a specific question or scenario answered? The previous comment is general and there are other ways of playing certain scenarios. Just wondering.

Where to go.

On balls hit in the infield, a good rule of thumb is to let the ball dictate. On plays to her left, she should be either making a play, or backing up the first baseman then covering 1B. Balls to the right, either make a play or rotate to cover 2nd. Same with SS except with the 3rd baseman. 2B and SS should never be standing around being a spectator. Depending on the age group and strength of the players, relays from the outfielders can be handled numerous ways. The easiest is to let the 2nd baseman takes cut-offs from balls hit from center to right field, and the SS from center to left. As the outfielders arm strength and age increase, both the 3B and 1B become more involved in plays to the plate. Each coach seems to have their own variations depending on players weaknesses on the field.
